It seems like we’ve known Jenna and Tina forever. We first met back in 2009 when they first got engaged and asked about doing some engagement photos. We finally got around to doing their engagement session in the summer of 2010 and have become pretty good friends. We happen to share a love of dogs and food, particularly fried lemons (long story). When we first sat down with them to talk about their wedding, it really wasn’t going to be a “wedding”, but more of a celebration of their love for each other. Since they couldn’t get legally married, they were just going to have a big bash to celebrate their commitment to spend the rest of their lives together.
Fast forward to 2011, when New York State finally made it legal for “My Girls” to get married. Talk about excitement! When we spoke to them the day after gay marriage was passed into law, they were ecstatic. Turns out they were able to have a wedding after all. We were so happy for them and even happier that we were there to capture it all.
