I recently got together with the Kumar family for some family portraits which were taken at their Kings Point, NY home. Dad is the Academic Dean at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, also located in Kings Point. It was a really laid-back shoot. Most images were taken in casual clothes, with a few images taken with the family in more traditional Indian dress. Either way, this is a beautiful family and they were fun to be around.

Last Saturday, I drove out to West Hempstead to shoot Santino’s newborn photos. Santino’s mom Jill is the sister of Jenna from the Central Park engagement session shot earlier this month. Jill and her husband Chris are the proud parents of this bouncing baby boy. Santino was born on July 9th, so he was just 2 weeks old when we did the session. He was awake for a good part of the session and was doing what newborns typically do……eat, cry, sleep, and then start all over again.

I’m always impressed with parents who get their child on the right track from Day 1. In this case, it’s Santino who’s being raised as a New York Yankees fan. Now that’s what I call good upbringing! Between our last baby session with Dominick (a New York Jets fan) and this session with “Tino”, I feel our future is in very good hands!

Congratulations to parents Kelly and Angel for having such a beautiful baby boy and special congrats to Angel who got to celebrate his first Father’s Day yesterday!

It’s pretty easy to kick doors in with feet like this one.

The Dom doesn’t miss a meal. He only ate 3 times in the hour I was there.

The Jets could use a few good linemen…
