I recently got together with the Kumar family for some family portraits which were taken at their Kings Point, NY home. Dad is the Academic Dean at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, also located in Kings Point. It was a really laid-back shoot. Most images were taken in casual clothes, with a few images taken with the family in more traditional Indian dress. Either way, this is a beautiful family and they were fun to be around.

Funny story…
While shooting Maggie’s Bridal Shower last weekend, I had the fortune of meeting her niece Madison, who was there with Maggie’s sister Stephanie. At some point during one of the bridal shower games, Madison and I were both banished from the house for 10 minutes. I was given the boot for being a guy and I guess she was booted for being too young to take part in the festivities. I figured we might as well use our time in exile shoot a few photos. She was a fun and willing model once she warmed up to me, which took all of 5 seconds. What can I say, I’m a charming and fun guy to be around. So we laughed and took some pics, but mostly we laughed.

Last year I spent some time with my friend Rita’s girls, Tanya and Kateri. We did another shoot last week and this time they were joined by their camera-shy brother, Vincent. After missing out the last time, he wanted to get in on the action for this one.
