We just got the best news! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve made it through to the second and final round of voting in the bridepop’s “Best Wedding Vendors in New York” contest. You can vote for us as many time as you want, but no more than once every 12 hours. No, we don’t expect you to wake up in the middle of the night to vote…..unless you want to! Make sure you vote early and often…..and tell your friends so they can vote too.
Thanks so much for your support!

After a year long search, Silke and I finally found a house we liked. Over the course of the next month or so, we’ll relocating to Massapequa, New York (Long Island). We’ve got our work cut out as there is quite a bit to be done, but we hope to have everything completed by mid-May…if not sooner. This move couldn’t come at a better time for us. The weather is nice to work in and we haven’t gotten to the busy part of our season yet. We have a few shoots scheduled for April, but nothing that should effect our goal of being in the new place by our planned date. Trying to balance the renovations, photography, and day-to-day life will be a challenge for sure, but we feel we’re up to the task. We started the work last week and have made some pretty good progress.
One of the main benefits of the move will be the addition of a studio/office, something we felt we needed in order to conduct client consultations in more a relaxed setting. While we always offer to meet clients at a location of their choosing, it’s nice to offer a quiet place to discuss your photography needs. We plan on using the studio for client meetings, photo editing, and shooting headshots and portraits. And yes, there will be coffee!
Just to give you and idea of how much work we have ahead of us…

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Formspring, you should because it’s a great idea. It’s a place where you can ask/answer questions publicly and I’ve been having some fun with it lately. If you have questions about photography, sports, jazz music, food, etc. feel free to ask away. You can ask questions anonymously, but it’s a lot more fun if you sign up and have a username. Either way feel free to ask away!
