One of our favorite engagement sessions from 2011 has turned out to be one of our most popular shoots. For the second time this week, Jennifer and Henry’s farm engagement session has been featured on a wedding blog. “I Love Farm Weddings” recently featured the session as part of their “Farm Inspiration”. It feels great to be able to provide inspiration not only to other couples, but to other photographers as well.

You might remember Jennifer & Henry’s horse farm engagement session from last summer. Well, it was recently published on The Lovely Find, a wedding blog that features inspiration for Southern weddings. I already know what you’re thinking. Southern weddings? On Long Island? Say what??? I think it’s pretty cool for a Long Island wedding photographer to be featured on a southern wedding blog. I’m really flattered about the fact that they don’t typically feature shoots from up north. Think about it, if you look around you’ll see that Long Island has a southern charm of its own. Besides, both of my parents are from Alabama, so I like to think there’s a little country boy in me somewhere.

Liz & Bobby – Central Park Engagement

Bobby & Liz.

These two go together like peanut butter and jelly. Like mac and cheese. Like mashed potatoes and gravy. You get the idea…..they’re just a perfect match. Spend a little time with them and you can feel how much in love they are.

(Note to self: Don’t write blog posts when you’re hungry)

Bobby proposed to Liz in Central Park, so we returned to the scene of the crime to hang out and take a few photos.

I’m not sure Bobby was getting the hang of this…

Caroline & Greg – Engagement at Point Lookout

Caroline and Greg love the ocean. I mean they really, really love the ocean…..so much that I was secretly checking to make sure they didn’t have gills. Their lives revive around the water. They’re both lifeguards, which is how they met…….probably in the water. Met by the water, engagement by the water, wedding by the water. You get the point…

It was actually pretty comforting hanging out with two lifeguards, especially when the waves started splashing up on that jetty. All I could think was, “If I fall in, at least I have a good chance of being saved before I drown.” Fortunately, it didn’t come down to that. We had a good time hanging out and more importantly, everybody managed to stay dry, which is a win in my book.
