Buffalo! – Long Island Photographer

Every now and then we like to post some personal stuff, just so you folks out there can get an idea of what we do when we’re not focused on photography. Of course, wherever we go there’s usually a camera close by. Well, this month has been a whirlwind of college visits, a graduation, and a playing tour guide to visiting family, including relatives that flew in from Germany. The next few blog posts will be personal…..then we’ll get back to work.

Earlier this month we made a trip up to Buffalo to pick Becca up from school. We met her boyfriend Andra’e for the first time, proceeded to scaring the crap out of Andra’e for the first time, and then took them out to the Cheesecake Factory for the best cheesecake ever……Red Velvet!

 

 

 

Vanessa & Tobias – Connection – Long Island Wedding Photographer

So, my niece Vanessa and her boyfriend Tobias rolled into the U.S. from Germany late last week. They heading into the City for some sightseeing and I gave then a ride to the railroad station. We had just enough time to do a quick shoot before their train arrived. They came, they saw, they conquered. Just another crazy young couple in love…

Charity Wine Event – March of Dimes – Long Island Wedding Photographer

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of  attending a fundraising event for the March of Dimes. The Charity Wine Event is the brainchild of Erin Voss, a lifelong March of Dimes volunteer who has been involved with the organization for as long as she can remember. Her enthusiasm is infectous and it really showed in the detailed planning for the event. There were many great prizes available for the Chinese auction and the wine tasting portion of the event featured some of the best local wines I’ve ever tasted. 

We don’t get to enough in the way of charity work, so it felt good to be able to contribute something to such a worthy cause. One of the raffle prizes was a couples photo session, courtesy of Alan Abrams Photography.

Music was provided by the String Collective of New York City.
