Photos from the recent “Wine and Cheese Night”, hosted by the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The event was a tribute to Long Island’s Non-Profits and was held at the Long Island Hilton in Melville, NY.

One of the things about having such a HUGE extended family is not being able to keep up with everyone. It usually takes either a wedding or a funeral to bring us together. Last night we had the opportunity to get together to celebrate my Aunt Janie’s 75th birthday. The family is spread out all over the country so it’s pretty much impossible to get everyone together at once, but even a “small” family gathering involves no less that 100-150 people…..and last night was no different.

With baseball season around the corner and the introduction of the new Yankee Stadium in a few weeks, I figured I’d take a look back at the old stadium in its last days.

Silke and I were fortunate enough to get our hands on some tickets for one of the last games at “The House That Ruth Built”. Gotta give a big shout-out to Gregg Matalas for finding those seats for us. As a life-long Yankee fan, getting to see the old Yankee Stadium one last time meant a lot to me.
